Gratis is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit application that enables users to connect with their family and friends in a collective endeavor to support charities and express gratitude towards each other.

Research indicates that demonstrating gratitude enhances one's sense of happiness and provides emotional and physical advantages. Notably, expressing gratitude within a social relationship magnifies these benefits.

For instance, contributing to a charity can heighten an individual's sense of gratitude and happiness, whereas contributing to someone else's charity generates an even more positive personal effect.

Through Gratis, users can show appreciation to their family and friends for acts of kindness by donating to a charity of their preference. Supporting a charity holds greater significance than presenting a gift card or flowers.

The application also permits users to invite friends and family to endorse their selected charity instead of receiving a gift for various life events like birthdays or graduations.

Each user on the platform can pick their preferred charity from a range of organizations addressing diverse needs such as disaster relief, mental health, food insecurity, and gender inequity. Users can modify their selection dynamically, with new charities suggested based on the prevailing global scenario.

By exploring and selecting a charity, and by viewing their friends' charitable causes, the application raises awareness about different non-profits striving to enhance the well-being of humans, animals, and the environment.
